Wednesday Apr 15, 2020
This series by the artist Nagabe bears more than a passing resemblance to the The Ancient Magus' Bride (the marketing definitely wants you to think so), but it is still very much it's own thing. The Kyodai talk alienation through character design, the appeal of animal-like characters, and compare the story to a fairytale probably hundreds of times. We also bring up COVID-19 lockdown more than once, because we record our episodes about a month ahead and that was still a new thing at the time!
